I would like to extend a warm welcome to the 2018-2019 school year. My name is Mrs.B. Bravo ; I am both eager and excited to work with a new group of wonderful students. This year promises to be one filled with great accomplishments and high expectations for your child. As a Kindergarten student, your child will be faced with new responsibilities and challenges. However, if we work together, we can assure your child’s successful completion of Kindergarten.
It is going to take a great amount of hard work, patience and dedication on both our parts, but with the three of us working together, your child will surely meet or exceed every expectation. I understand that times are hectic, and many of you may have jobs and/or other children to raise. However, sparing a few minutes to help your child with homework or simply reading to one another will greatly benefit him/her.
The following are some of your child’s responsibilities that can be achieved only with your help:
· Daily attendance: New and important information will be covered on a daily basis. Absences will cause your child to miss out on and fall behind in important skills and strategies.
· Getting to school on time: School begins at 7:30 a.m. Instruction begins right after breakfast and daily announcements.
· Completion of daily homework: Homework is given to students to reinforce objectives already covered in class. By doing this on a daily basis your child will retain and understand, what was learned, more easily.
· Following school rules and procedures: Please encourage your child’s behavior. With good discipline there will be little or no unnecessary interruptions during class instruction.
In closing, the students are my priority. Your child’s time will be well spent, and I will make every minute count. If you have any questions or concerns, my conference period is from 3:05-3:45 p.m., you may also contact me at 716-6983. You can leave a message and I will get back to you.
